HGTV, DIY Network Name SVP, Marketing and Creative Services

Shannon Jamieson Driver to Lead Marketing and Creative Services at HGVT, DIY Network
Kendra Rudder Also Promoted to VP, Media Strategies
NEW YORK-- March 5, 2014--Shannon Jamieson Driver has been named senior vice president of marketing and creative services at HGTV and DIY Network, overseeing the Knoxville-based team. Driver, who joined the company in 2004, has served in various marketing-related roles at the networks, including ad sales marketing, brand partnerships, media strategies and experiential marketing. In her new position, she reports directly to Kathleen Finch, president, HGTV and DIY Network.
“Shannon’s internal and industry relationships, creativity, versatility and expertise made her a strong choice for this role,” said Finch. “Our networks achieved “best year ever” ratings performances in 2013 and our on-air and off-channel marketing efforts played a significant part in that growth. Shannon is an innovative thinker and she will implement the types of smart marketing strategies that will help us attract even more coveted upscale viewers to HGTV and DIY Network.” 
Upon assuming responsibility for the marketing and creative services group, Driver elevated Kendra Rudder (left) to vice president, media strategies. Rudder has been with the networks since 2001, starting her career in the traffic department before moving over to the marketing and creative services team. She holds a BS in Human Ecology and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. Her direct reports include Nicole Key, director, media strategies and Sarah Cheatham, manager, media strategies -- also newly promoted to those roles.  
Prior to joining HGTV, Driver worked in the advertising division at Edelman Public Relations. As an account supervisor, she managed multiple accounts in categories such as healthcare, financial services, consumer packaged goods and issues advertising.  She earned a BS in Communications/Broadcast & Film and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.
