Television Host, Travel Expert, Great Escape Artist
Samantha Brown has spent more than a decade at Travel Channel – living in airports, hotels and out of a suitcase as she visits hundreds of cities around the world. She has enough frequent flier miles to buy a small island and knows that the most important survival phrase in any language is, “May I have a coffee, Please!” Brown captures the essence of travel and culture in each adventure, taking viewers on an intimate, off the beaten path journey as she discovers exotic destinations, whether around the world or in their own backyard.
Growing up in New Hampshire, Brown was never much of a jetsetter, but is now considered a travel expert. After receiving her degree in Musical Theatre at Syracuse University, she spent eight years as an actress in New York City before joining Travel Channel.
Brown was the host of more than 15 shows on the Travel Channel; this kept her on the road over 230 days out of the year traveling all throughout the world. Previously, Brown encountered ancient culture in China for “Samantha Brown: Passport to China”. In “Passport to Latin America”, she transported her fans to 20 awe-inspiring cities, revealing vibrant landscapes and charming locals. Prior to that, Brown explored Europe, traveling to 65 destinations from majestic, modern capitals to ancient seacoast towns in “Passport to Europe”.
An inspirational resource for prospective travelers, Brown has truly enjoyed showing viewers how extraordinary it is to be a part of everyday life in another part of the world. Her travels demonstrate that language barriers can sometimes be a bridge to a deeper communication and understanding of diverse cultures.
Viewers passionately follow Brown and her advice not only because of her experience and knowledge, but because of her warmth, genuineness and passion for travel.  No matter where she takes you, Samantha Brown will find delectable food, fabulous shopping and an authentic taste of the region you won’t find in a tourist guidebook.
