John Viterisi, 53, is senior vice president of tax for Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. Prior to assuming this role, he was vice president of tax for The E.W. Scripps Company (Scripps) since June 2007. Viterisi is responsible for managing and directing the company's tax functions, including strategic tax planning, tax reporting and disclosure, tax compliance, and management of all of the company's tax-related activities and obligations.
Viterisi has more than 20 years experience in tax planning and related financial management disciplines. Before joining Scripps he was with Cintas Corporation, where he served as director of tax. Prior to Cintas, he held similar positions at Stryker Corporation in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Arthur Anderson LLP.
Viterisi is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics and accounting.
