Mark Schuermann, 40, is senior vice president and treasurer of Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. Prior to assuming this role, he was assistant treasurer for The E.W. Scripps Company (Scripps) since 2006. He has oversight responsibilities for corporate financing, management of treasury operations and risk management.
Schuermann started with Scripps in 1998 as a senior auditor in the audit and consulting services department and was promoted to audit manager in 2000. He was promoted to director of treasury management in 2002. Before joining Scripps, Schuermann held internal audit positions with Fifth Third Bank and US Bank.
He currently serves on the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati and Building Blocks for Kids. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for People Working Cooperatively.
He has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University and is a Certified Treasury Professional.
