Mary Ray, 43, is senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary of Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. Prior to assuming this position, Ray was associate general counsel for The E.W. Scripps Company (Scripps) since 2006.
Before joining Scripps, Ray worked for Cincinnati Bell Inc. as corporate counsel and assistant corporate secretary. She previously practiced as a litigator at two Kentucky law firms: Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald PLLC and Schletker, Hornbeck and Moore.
Ray serves on the Board of Trustees and the nominating committee of the Cincinnati Ballet. She is a graduate of The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's inaugural class of the WE Lead leadership program.
Ray received her juris doctorate (cum laude) from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1995 and a bachelor's degree in social studies/secondary education (summa cum laude) from Northern Kentucky University in 1991. She is a member of the Kentucky and Ohio (corporate status) bars, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
