The diversity of ideas, experiences and backgrounds our employees bring to every aspect of our business is the strength behind Scripps Networks Interactive, and it applies to our corporate outreach efforts as well. Each year we organize a Volunteer Day during which our worldwide employees disperse to work with a variety of non-profits to do everything from making improvements to low income homes in need of repairs to cooking meals at homeless shelters.
Beyond our Volunteer Day, many employees also get involved with causes that are particularly meaningful to them on a personal level, which we also encourages through our Employee Volunteer Grants. Our employees can be found serving on more than 30 non-profit boards and as advisors at educational institutions across the country and around the world. Together, we truly are changing the world.
